Project Esther Staff and Trustees
Marianne Lewis has been the Chairperson of Project Esther Trust for over two decades. She brings leadership expertise, business and financial experience. Marianne, for many years has advocated for women navigating challenges and hardship.
Daphne Marsden (BMin, MTheol) is the Founder and Manager of Project Esther Trust. Daphne has a long held passion around issues of gender justice and has published on the topics of domestic violence and abuse.
Fiona is a qualified social worker working in mental health. She volunteered with the Project Esther prison team for ten years. Fiona is passionate about supporting women and children.
Jackie Bunting is a chartered accountant, married with two children. She is able to bring her invaluable accounting skills to financial matters within Project Esther. Previously Jackie was a volunteer driving children to see their mother who was incarcerated for many years.
Alastair Tennent is married with four adult children. During the week he is the General Manger of Allied Petroleum, a national fuels distribution business. Alastair attends South West Baptist Church.
Karen Pennington is married with adult children. Karen has been employed by Project Esther Trust for 10 years in a number of roles including Team Leader. Karen believes strongly in the work at Project Esther. Supporting women and families is a passion of hers.
